She was first introduced to yoga meditation and the vegetarian diet in 1976. Since then, her involvement in humanitarian works spanned more than forty years.
Today, NONA continues to engage in outreach activities – – free feeding programs, giving wisdom talks, doing kirtan, with family and friends. She tried to reach out to as many people as possible, sharing with them the wonderful, joyful effects of living the yoga lifestyle.
NONA founded the Hope Giving Foundations based on her own philosophy in life which is: ‘One can only be truly happy and truly satisfied when one is tasting love for the Lord’. And ‘One’s own happiness lies in helping others come to know and love Him too.
Every Filipino can experience real Love, Compassion, Care and actual improvement of living condition materially and spiritually.
“Our goal is to inspire as many people as possible to take part in this most joyous and fulfilling act of sharing. With the limited time we have in this world, we are committed to reaching as many recipients as we can—nationwide—bringing hope, kindness, and connection to every corner we can touch.”
Inspired by Filipino tradition of Bayanihan, (spirit of civic unity and cooperation among Filipinos).
